Wieder mal ist CSD in Kassel – und dieses Jahr ist etwas anders: Ein queer-politischer Wagen wird am Umzug teilnehmen – denn wir sind noch lange nicht zufrieden. Queer ist kein Partymotto!

Wir wollen wieder an die Ursprünge des Christopher-Street-Day erinnern, an die Riots von Stonewall, die sich gegen eine Vielzahl von Diskriminierungen auflehnten. Auch wenn sich unsere Gruppe aus weißen Menschen zusammen setzt, finden wir es wichtig über den rassistischen Charakter der Repression zu sprechen. Damals ist nicht heute, aber es ist noch längst nicht alles prima.

Davon zeugt der CSD Kassel: Er ist zu einer „unpolitischen“ Party umfunktioniert worden, bei der unkritisch das schon Erreichte als „Ankunft in der Gesellschaft“ beklatscht wird, und das Hauptziel zu sein scheint, sich ins Koma zu saufen. Theoretisch soll der CSD zwar für alle da sein, die vom heteronormativen Bild abweichen, praktisch existiert aber eine cis¹-männliche, weiße, schwule Dominanz, die andere Gruppen unsichtbar(rer) macht.
Damit ist der CSD in vielen Punkten nur eine Weiterführung des diskriminierenden Alltags im Mainstream: es läuft sexistische Musik, die Männer zeigen ihre nackten Oberkörper und reißen die Klappe auf, Parteien fühlen sich wohl und Nationalismus ist auch nicht außen vor.

Es geht aber auch anders! Wir wünschen uns einen vielfältigen CSD,
… der an die Ursprünge des CSD erinnert
… auf dem Raum ist für People of Colour, nicht-ablebodied Menschen, Femmes* und viele viele andere, und auf dem diese sichtbar sind und gehört werden
… bei dem mit dem Konstrukt der Zweigeschlechtlichkeit gebrochen wird
… in dem andere Lebensrealitäten einen Raum finden, und mit dem für eine befreitere Gesellschaft gekämpft wird.

Deshalb rufen wir dazu auf, am 23. August 2014 mit uns zum queer-politischen Wagen auf dem CSD zu kommen! Wir hoffen auf eine unübersehbare Teilnahme. Die bessere Musik haben wir sowieso.

Call for the queer-political truck at the CSD in Kassel, at 23.08.2014

Once again, the CSD is taking place in Kassel – and something is different this year:
A queer-political truck will be taking part at the parade – because we are far from being satisfied. Queer is not a label for a party!

We want to remember the roots of the Christopher Street Day again, the Riots of Stonewall which rose against a number of different discriminations. Even though our group consists only of white people, we think it is important to talk about the racist character of the repressions. Today is not the same as then, but that does not mean everything is fine.

This can also be seen at the CSD in Kassel: It has been converted into an unpolitical party, where the achievement to have „arrived in the middle of society“ is affirmed uncritical, and the main goal seems to be to become heavily drunk. In theory, the CSD should exist for all people who are not fitting into the heteronormative picture, but practically there is a cis¹-male, white, gay dominance that leads to the (partly) invisibility of other groups.
Therefore the CSD is in many parts only a continuation of the discriminating everyday life of the mainstream: sexist music is played, male persons show their bare chests and present themselves dominant, political parties feel welcome and nationalism is also not left out.

Another way is possible: We wish for a diverse CSD
… which remembers the roots of the CSD
… where there is space for people of colour, not-ablebodied people, femmes* and many many more and where they are visible and are heard
… where the construction of the binary gender system is brocken with
… where other realities of life have space and where we fight for a more liberated society.

Therefore we call all of you to come with us to the queer-political truck at the CSD on August 23th! We wish for a highly visible
participation. We have got the better music anyway.
